Claw Viper

Description: This creature is a giant slithering lizard, with a long, spiky tail and sharp claws. It features two attacks; its weaker attack is with its claws, which is used when the monster is one space away from you. Its stronger attack is with its tail stinger, which deals out more damage, and has a knockback effect on the character. It has average stamina, and subsequently can take only a certain amount of abuse before it splatters into a bloody mess. They are very widespread animals, and can be found just about every nock and cranny of Act II.

Tips and Behavior: When it reaches within two spaces of its target, it will pause for a fraction of a second before attacking with its tail. The best way for a player to attack one is to use either a ranged attack, or (if using a melee weapon) to get up close and personal into a Viper's face, to force it to use its close range attack.
